Innovation in IT Awards - 2007
Incepted in 1980, NASSCOM is registered under the Indian Societies Act, 1860 for easing down trading activities in various fields of software and services and for boosting the research advancement in software technology. The apex trade body, NASSCOM is considered as the lifeline of the Indian IT industry. Embarked as the chamber of commerce of the Indian IT & BPO industry, NASSCOM is a worldwide recognized trading body, constituted of more than 1200 members. Its membership has been extended to many leading companies from US, UK, EU and other parts of the world. Its membership base has constituted more than 95 per cent base of the India's industrial revenue and over 2 million professionals are employed within it. Pro actively indulge in encouraging free trade in throughout the world, NASSCOM has announced the winners of the NASSCOM Innovation in IT Awards 2007. Out of total 21 companies, 8 were felicitated for their excellent contribution in the India's IT sector. The event was scheduled between 13thFebruary-15th February 2008 in Mumbai. The booming Indian IT industry overlooks the innovation as the key imperative factor for ensuring competitive and sustaining growth. It helps India in maintaining lead in the international marketplace. The Innovation in IT Awards are driven towards recognizing and honoring those companies who have injected element of innovation in existing knowledge level and have explored new product ideas, process and technologies for facilitating the company to accomplish the high profitability returns. The fourth edition of the award, it is aimed towards diverting the companies activities for tapping the huge revenue streams worth US$ 50 billion by 2012. The ‘Innovation in IT Awards’ 2007 category encompasses of process innovation, input innovation and market facing innovation in both big and multi national corporations. The NASSCOM Innovation in IT Awards 2007 has been categorized into 3 heads- Process Innovation, Input Innovation and Market Facing Innovation.
