The kingdom of sweden, popularly known as sweden, is situated in the northern europe. One of the nordic country, sweden share a common boundary line with norway on its western side and on its northeast part, it is widened by finland. Since 1 january 1995, sweden is member of the european union. With 173,720 square miles, sweden is characterized as the third largest country by area wise in western europe and it ranks fifth in throughout the europe. Sweden has a coastline of 3,218 km with a total irrigation land of 1,150 sq km. The country is vested in the political framework of constitutional monarchy. Sweden has recorded an enviable standard of living under a GDP of $333.1 billion with a growth rate of 3.4%. The nation's service sector has a major contribution in GDP, which stood around 74% followed by industry and agriculture sectors, which are 24% and 2% respectively.

Business Visa Rules
The following documents are required to obtain Business Visa:
  • An invitation from the Swedish company must be written on the company's letterhead, be dated, signed and contain address and telephone number to the company.
  • The invitation shall state information regarding:
    • who is inviting
    • who is invited
    • place of the visit
    • the purpose of the visit
  • If it is a practical training within the process of the company in Sweden or a job assignment (e.g. installation of software programs), you might also need a work permit.
    • the length of the visit (period of time, number of days, and number of entries)
    • who will be responsible for the journey and accommodation
    • contact person
  • A copy of a registration certificate of the company (valid for 6 months from the date of issue)
  • Application for Schengen visa, completed, dated and signed
  • Passport or other travel document, signed and valid for at least three months after scheduled return and a copy of its identification page
  • Copies of all marked pages of citizen/internal passport
  • Foreigners living in Russia should have proof of registration and its copy
  • Introduction letter from your employer including your position, how long you have been working for the company and purpose of the visit
  • Proof of sufficient financial means to support yourself during your stay (e.g. bank statement or currency exchange receipt)
  • Proof of insurance for the total length of travel against costs for medical treatment and or transportation covering up to at least an amount of 30.000 EUR. Insurance policy should be valid in all Schengen states. For multiple visa, the insurance should cover at least the first visit.
  • Two [2] coloured photographs, size 35x45 mm
  • Photograph's requirements:
    • recent and of true likeness, not more than six months old
    • showing full face
    • taken without headgear, head coverings and hats are only acceptable due to religious beliefs, and even then, may not cover any portion of the applicant's face
    • taken against a plain, evenly lit and light background.
  • Photographs that do not meet these requirements will be rejected or may cause a delay in processing the application.
  • Application fee - 1200 RUR
