Located in the north africa, algeria is known as the largest nation of the mediterranean sea and the second largest of the african continent. It is the 11th largest country of the world in terms of its area. Algeria is bounded by the tunisia in the northeast direction, libya from the east, niger at the southeast, mali and mauritania from the southwest directions. Algeria is the esteemed member of the United Nations, African Union, Arab League, and OPEC. The country has 998 km long coastline. It has 12 nm territorial sea. Algeria has recorded its industrial production rate at 5 per cent(approx.). It is highly enrich in terms of the petroleum, natural gas, iron ore, phosphates, uranium, lead, zinc resources. |
